Meet our June Volunteer of the Month, Lisa Day!!

It is a new month and that means a new Volunteer of the Month! June’s Volunteer of the Month is Lisa Day. Lisa is involved with a number of programs at the Project and we are so grateful! Learn more about Lisa below!

*How did you get involved with The Project?

Many years ago, I attended a dinner/social event that was hosted by Dr Borkar.  Dr Jones was there and gave a speech about the CCPP.  Over the years, I have attended several events sponsored by the CCPP.  I volunteered a group of leaders from Clark Memorial Hospital to help prep for the “Bottom’s Up Bash” and the “5k” one year and then I decided to volunteer on my own.  This is my 2nd year with the Education/Awareness Committee

*What is most meaningful to you as a volunteer for the Project?

Providing information regarding screening colonoscopies that will hopefully  prevent someone from getting cancer

*What is your motto you live by?

Be kind to people.  You never know what struggle they may be going through

*If you could back and meet a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give?

Slow down and enjoy your life

*What is your favorite food?

Berries:  Blackberries, Strawberries and Raspberries

*What is one interesting fact about you that most people don’t know?

I live on a farm

*If could have any type of wild animal as a pet, what animal would pick and what would name it?

Not sure how wild it is, but it would be a pigmy goat.  If it was a female, it would be Wilma, Betty or Pebbles.  If it was a male, it would be Barney or BamBam.  I have a cat named Fred

*If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?

Antiqua, I hear that it’s beautiful

*If you could meet places with anyone in the world (dead or alive), who would choose and why?

Princess Diana, she helped so many people and is a wonderful role mode
