From Couch to Kicking Butt – a Free Training Plan for the 5k!

Hey there, beautiful butt kickers! Are you getting excited for the Louisville and Lexington Kicking Butt 5ks? We certainly are!

We know that there are a lot of different people at these events. Some are triathletes, some are neighborhood runners, some are walkers, and some have never attempted a 5k at all! No matter your level of experience, we want to see you there! Don’t be intimidated!

Here are the facts:

  1. a 5k is 3.1 miles
  2. the average walker can finish a 5k in less than an hour
  3. the Kicking Butt 5k is an inclusive, fun event that is PERFECT for first-time 5k-ers

Whether you walk, stroll, wheel, or run this 5k, we’re excited to see you! If you’re interested in a training program, however, we’ve got you covered.

Follow this link for a FREE Couch-to-5k program from Sage Running that you can train with on your own time. All of the training sessions are 30 minutes or less, making them perfect for busy schedules and beginners. You don’t need a treadmill (though you can certainly use one) – you just need to get outside!

Incidentally, getting regular exercise is one of the key ways to prevent colorectal cancer! If you’re looking to up your prevention strategy and activity level, why not start by training for the Kicking Butt 5k?

Register today and together, we’ll kick colorectal cancer’s butt!
