Together We Gave

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Project on Giving Tuesday on November 30th!

Together we raised $675!

All Giving Tuesday donations will go to printing and distributing updated screening and prevention flyers, posters, and pamphlets to providers across Kentucky and Southern Indiana, specifically in higher-need and under-screened communities like Eastern Kentucky and West Louisville.

These posters, developed by focus groups throughout our community, will prompt patients and providers to start the conversation about colon cancer screening.

Messages like…

  • Start screening at age 45 (or younger if you have a family history)
  • Listen to your body. If you are having symptoms, schedule a colonoscopy immediately.
  • Simple, take-home tests are available for those at average-risk. Choose the test that’s best for you!
  • No insurance? No problem. Free screenings are available for Kentuckians without insurance.

We’re excited to be distributing resources in Spanish too!

If you know of a clinic in need of colon cancer screening materials, please reach out to our director Amanda Smart at asmart@kickingbutt.org.
